The SRTC-SEA is proud to announce that we have awarded three family scholarships this year to graduating high school seniors.

Colin Brown, grandson of Greg Phillips (SHS), is a graduate of Avon (CT) HS, who will likely attend Clarkson University to study electrical engineering.

Natalie Daigle, granddaughter of Karen (Montebello) and Jeff (JHS/SHS) Fisher, is a graduate of Warwick HS, and will be attending Vassar College in the fall.

Cole Foster, the grandson of Susan Foster (SHS), is a graduate of Hawthorne Christian Academy who will be studying to become a health/physical education teacher.

Are you looking for an avenue for your generosity during these challenging times? Here are ideas for your consideration.

The SRTC-SEA has been supporting the Suffern Soup Kitchen and the Sloatsburg Food Pantry. Both of these non-profit organizations do yeoman work in supporting the real food needs of the local community that has only gotten more urgent during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The very generous donations from our membership continue to benefit the needy families in the Suffern area.  Our financial support helps to fund this feeding ministry throughout the year. Hearty and delicious lunches are provided daily.

SLOATSBURG FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS

The Sloatsburg Food Pantry is an organization of committed volunteers with a broad base of community support. Their goal is to provide supplemental, nutritionally balanced food to those in need, while respecting the dignity of each person they serve. The Sloatsburg Food Pantry serves those living in Sloatsburg, Suffern, Hillburn, Montebello, and the Town of Tuxedo.

Currently due to the Covid-19 situation, the Food Pantry is only accepting financial donations to accomplish their mission instead of food donations. The number of clients they are serving has increased dramatically due to the drastic change in the economy.
