Below please see the letter from Rev. Cranston explaining the Soup Kitchen program, and how this Ministry helps those in need. He is always so thankful for our support!
As of 10/25/2022, we have donated a total of $6,606.00 !!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to give you a little more information about our 42 year old program at Christ Episcopal Church for those in need of food. Thanks to your great generosity, we are able to continue our expansive ministry both in the Feeding Ministries and our large Thrift Ministries.

In our Feeding Program we have two separate areas. The first is the Daily Lunch Program. At least three times a week it is a hot meal. On Sundays, Temple Beth Israel Shir Shalom in Mahwah, NJ, provides lunches and has done so for decades. The daily count ranges from 16 to 40, so at an average of 27, that comes to 1,404 daily lunches per year. These are complete lunches and given to anyone with no questions asked.

The second part is our Pantry Ministry. We collect and distribute large quantities of food to those who sign up. These large food boxes have enough food to feed a family for one week. It is based on the number of people in the family. We try to accommodate allergies; etc. There are canned foods, dry foods, bread, butter, milk, eggs and frozen vegetables as well as meats. The average family is four. We load this food into their automobiles so they don't have to come into the buildings. Covid has changed a lot here

The tally for 2021 was 153,000 meal equivalents, not counting the Lunch Program. This is huge as I think you can see. Thanks to your help and the help of other charities, we see no possibility of this slowing down or even tapering off for the future.

Blessings to all of you always.
T
he Rev. Dale L. Cranston
